Dover Fishing Trip

Yesterday me and my next door neighbors went fishing at Dover... we started around 4 o'clock and we had a few bites but nothing much really. Then we decided to move down to a more sheltered part of the pier where some guy was reeling in fish like the was no tomorrow! Our first catch of the day was a weaver fish in Robert's fishing net! Then i changed from lug worm to feathers and in all of 10 minutes i had caught a Mackrel! Well i'm jut going to go and eat for breakfast so i will enjoy!

Soul Survivor

What can I say?! It was amazing... 11,000 people worshiping God in one place at one time! Soul Survivor is head up by three main people... Mike Pilavachi, Andy Croft and Ali Martin. There were 3 different weeks, I was at the last week (Week C). The opening night was like a party with J John speaking and Sam Parker leading worship. Through the weeks i visited seminars by Roy Crowne and Andy Croft. The main set of seminars that i visited was called 'Soul Man' which was taken by Mike Pilavachi and Andy Croft. They covered the points of Sex and Relationships and What it is like to be a Christian guy in the modern world. Me, Pete, Simon, Sam G and Shem went to them and enjoyed them fully. In the main morning and evening sessions God did amazing things like healing people physically and mentally. In the evenings from around 9:30 to about 11:30 lots of different venues opened. There was a disco room, a gig room and lots of cafes. On Day 2 I went to a gig by OneHundredHours and on Day 4 I went to a Gig by 29th Chapter. It was amazing. I had bought their CD the day before and loved every minute of it. On the last day they were in the Tool Shed (the markety place) so I ran back to the tent picked up a pen and my CD and ran back down to get Mr.Prince's and McGladuis's autograph. I was thrilled that on in the evening MP remembered me and smiled. I just wanna say thanks on behalf of all of us that went to my Mum, Wendy and Mike Haslam for a great week. :)

Soul Survivor

Tomorrow morning I'm getting up slightly later than normal! At 6:45 in fact! I'm traveling to Shepton Mallet in Somerset to go and join in the fun of Soul Survivor. There are about 17 of us going one of them being mum! It will be her last time with us Landmarkers so hopefully she will enjoy it too! It's my first time at 'ss' so i dont know what to expect apart from lots of people and God doing amazing things! It'z going to be great. Will be back on the 22nd August so I will report back soon!

Winner!

After Gillingham's Tuesday night match i was slightly disappionted to see my team get knocked out the Carling Cup so early. So on the Wednesday i went on the Gills website to see what people had said and i saw a link for Junior Reporters. I clicked on it and it was an oppotunity to write your own match report and have it published on the Gills website, on top you won an amazing Gills Goody Bag :) I thought it would be a good time to practise my writing skills as i have my GCSE's coming up next year so i did. It started off something along the lines of 'It was a windy Tuesday night...' I sent it in and this morning i checked the Website and i had won! To read it click here

Hello and Welcome

Hey im Tom and this my blog. Sorry to point out the obvious but hey... Anyway im from a town called Gillingham in Kent which has a great football team! I am a christian and attend St.Marks Church, Gillingham. I go to Robert Napier School and im just entering year 10. I am tall, brown hair which is 'fairly' long but im not happy cos' i just got it cut! Some people say i look like Zac Effron... Tell me, is that a complement? People (Nanny) say i look like my dad... where they get that from! Two reasons why this is not true... 1. I have hair and 2. Im a good looking guy! Hope you enjoy my blog and find it a fun read.
